Synopsis 36C24225R0050:This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publicly available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a construction contractor to provide all labor, supervision, travel, equipment, tools, materials, inspection/testing services, and legal disposal of waste materials to install a new water main to the Boiler Plant and Chiller Plant at the Perry Point VA Medical Center. Additionally, cap and abandon in-place the existing water main and backflow preventer within the Chiller Plant. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB).Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220 [Commercial and Institutional Building Construction], size standard: $45.0 million. The offeror shall obtain all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of Maryland.Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about April 11, 2025. A site-visit will be held on or about 10 days after the posting of the solicitation. THE SITE VISIT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THIS PROJECT.
