• Description:
• The City of Stuart would like to request an invitation to Bid (ITB) from licensed contractors to provide all demolition and construction items for Stuart Vocational Project. The construction of the project is to be built on land owned by the City of Stuart and located at 710 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in East Stuart. The project will include demolition and development of approximately 2.4-acres site to include but limited to demolition of existing buildings and site clearing, paving, parking, stormwater improvements, landscaping, sidewalk, shared use path, site lighting and utilities associated with building. As well as construction of a new vocational training facility and will consist of a one-story building with approximately 12,574 SF of training rooms, bays, kitchen (no grease trap), break room, meeting space, office space and bathrooms. Architectural and engineering plans, and construction documents, for the project have been prepared and completed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. and HUMM Architects and subsequently approved for construction by the City Commission.The work is generally described as furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals including warranty, necessary to provide the city with the items shown on plans and details for the Stuart Vocational Project.A bid should be submitted based on the bid plans, ensuring all necessary items are included even if not explicitly listed in the bid schedule. Bid plans are the governing documents which outline all project requirements and specifications. Carefully examine all project drawings and specifications to identify every element needed for completion, regardless of whether it-s explicitly mentioned in the bid schedule.This is a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) federally funded project.
