Description:
Tuolumne County (the “County”) has been awarded a substantial federal grant to improve community resiliency in high fire risk areas by making property-specific home hardening improvements to residential structures as well as improving the defensible space (landscaping) around them. With preliminary property assessments completed, the next phase requires a full-time project manager to coordinate resources and activities in order to fulfill the grant objectives on approximately 415 qualified properties within the 2-3 year remaining timeline of the grant.The Project Manager may be an independent individual or member of a professional services firm, but is expected to be a single, dedicated resource to provide continuity in this role rather than a rotating assignment among several members of a staffing team provided by a project management firm. Bidders should estimate based on a traditional full-time Monday-Friday work schedule with regular office hours and on-site time in the project areas, with potential for extensions based on weather, construction contractor availability, or other environmental conditions.
