The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) has repetitive need for a skilled craftsman with basic prototyping and finishing skills. To support these needs, the Government intends to award a Master Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a five year ordering period to Mad Genius, Inc. (CAGE: 4AG29) on a sole source basis.
The GSL-s Survivability Engineering Branch (SvEB) has a requirement for a skilled craftsman with basic prototyping and finishing skills, to include forming, fastening, and shaping wood, foam, and other construction materials; finish painting to include detail work such as lettering, logos, and artificial weathering of a painted finish. Skill with basic power tools (table saw, miter saw, drills, lathes, grinders) and finishing tools and materials (sanders, epoxy fillers, paints/primers, adhesives, etc.) The craftsman must possess basic knowledge of the construction of scale models of facilities, structures, and equipment to include wire/metal/wood-frame construction and application of façade surfaces. The contractor must be able to provide specific artistic skills described on-site in Vicksburg within 2 hours of notification and be capable of obtaining, a SECRET clearance. A Request for Information (RFI) was posted at sam.gov 7 February 2023. As of the closing date, 21 February 2023, Mad Genius, Inc. (CAGE: 4AG29), a small business, is the only vendor who expressed capability and interest in this requirement under North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) Code 541430, Graphic Design Services.
The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Solicitating from a Single Source. The applicable NAICS Code is 541430, Graphic Design Services, with a small business standard of $9M. This notice of intent is for information purposes only.
