Description : PROJECT NUMBER: DGS C-0800-0313 Ph 1PROJECT TITLE: PSU - Animal Diagnostic Lab Renovations & AdditionsPROJECT LOCATION: Wiley Lane, State College, PA 16803This Project is advertising for PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS for design and/or engineering services. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited to expansion to accommodate current and projected operational needs proficiently and safely. The overall project is envisioned as a 30,000 square feet addition to the existing Penn State Animal Diagnostic Laboratory (ADL). The ADL was originally constructed in1956 with renovations and a significant addition being completed in 1999. The new addition will house a sample receiving area, shared core laboratory space, Bacteriology, Serology, Virology, Histopathology, Parasitology labs., Molecular Diagnostics, Pathology and conference, office, and support spaces. Also included in the project is the replacement of the existing incinerator. Exploration of options for the disposal of animals and samples must be explored in the initial phase of the project.
