Description:
The Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Program is seeking a vendor to establish a tailored workshop on the Departments Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), and develop a summary of findings report/improvement plan based on the workshop. The Department COOP includes identified Department essential services and lines of succession and essential staff. This plan was updated in 2021 with input from department leadership. The COOP applies to all employees of the PPHD for the full spectrum of natural, technological, and human-caused emergencies and threats.Since the plan was developed with input from the Departments leadership, the next step is to engage program managers for COOP and succession planning when staffing resources are strained. Additionally, the department structure has changed since the last revision. Therefore, training workshops will be established to train staff of all levels in the agency on continuity of operations and an assessment will be conducted to better understand the departments capacity to sustain essential services while maintaining emergency response/recovery efforts.
