Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS, intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to Hitec Products, Inc. for the procurement of a 65 Full bridge configurated 350ohm, waterproof, weldable strain gage with 150 ft. GP cable lead an no transition. Drawing 80-808 Strain Gauges. These gages are currently used to provide the District instrumentation in support of structural health monitoring and to maintain the integrity and consistency the same models must be used and is essential to performing civil and military research missions at ERDC. Model number HBWF-35-125-6-150GP-NT is being purchase through Hitec Products, Inc. Hitec Products, Inc. is a commercial supplier of gauges and other measuring devises. To maintain the integrity and consistency with current equipment a Sole Source purchase will be done. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Responses to this requirement may be submitted to David Ammermann at david.g.ammermann@usace.army.mil. The Notice ID shall be included in the subject line of the e-mail submission. Responses must be received no later than 5 days from the posted date of this notice.
