• Construction Manager/General Contractor - Powell Street Improvement Project [Citywide PLA] San Francisco Public Works (“Public Works”) announces a Request for Qualifications and Proposals (“RFQP”) inviting interested parties to submit their qualifications and a competitive proposal to provide pre-construction, construction management, general contracting and value engineering services from trade subcontractors for the Powell Street Improvement Project (“Powell Street Project”). Interested parties responding (“Respondents”) to this RFQP are to be Construction Manager/General Contractors (“CM/GC”) teams consisting of the CM/GC and specified Core Trade Subcontractors in a design-assist capacity capable of performing pre-construction services, as well as construction services, including but not limited to, constructability reviews, cost estimating, schedule development and validation, and development of complex construction phasing and logistics sequencing that integrates engineering controls. The Powell Street Project is located on Powell Street between Market and Geary Streets in San Francisco, California. Scope of Work: The Powell Street Improvement Project is a collaborative initiative aimed at revitalizing a three-block stretch of Powell Street between Market Street and Geary Street in San Francisco. This area, serving as a critical pedestrian corridor and home to the iconic cable car turnaround, has faced challenges such as vacant storefronts and declining foot traffic. This project consists of roadway improvements, sidewalk replacement work, sub-sidewalk basement repairs, sidewalk extensions, lighting installations, and landscaping improvements.
