INTRODUCTION
The Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for construction services for the Rathbun Lake Section 1135 shoreline protection design-bid-build contract. The Government will provide the contractor a full design package which will include sealed design drawings and specifications. The design consists of a variety of rock shoreline protection, vegetation (for sediment stabilization), breakwaters, and groyne structures located at four locations at Rathbun Lake.
The contractor will be responsible for constructing the rock and vegetation establishment, creating access paths, site preparation, and site rehabilitation where required. The period of construction is expected to be less than 12 months.
BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES (IN FULL OR IN PART) OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
