Description:
Lancaster County is seeking competitive bids from South Carolina Department of Transportation approved contractors for the purpose of replacing existing culverts on low volume roadways throughout the County. The work includes grading, paving, installation of culverts and all other work associated with the construction of these projects. The limits of work are described herein along with Standard Specifications that detail specific items of work. Projected Completion Date: 12/31/2025Note 1: If a change in Quantities is warranted during construction, it shall be requested and approved in accordance with the “Estimated Quantities” provision as stated in the General Conditions.Note 2: All work done by the Contractor must be in accordance with the South Carolina Department of Transportation 2007 Standard Specification for Highway Construction unless otherwise instructed by Lancaster County and be warranted for a period of 2-year from the time of completion against any defect, failure, etc. caused by the materials, workmanship, etc.Note 3: A summary of estimated quantities have been established for each individual roadway. The contractor must provide pricing for each of the base bids to be determined a responsive bidder.Note 4: The apparent low bidder will be determined by the sum of each of the three base bids A+B+C=Total Bid priceNote 5: Lancaster County reserves the right to allow construction of any combination of the three base bids for the project.
