Description
The US Army Medical Command, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - East, Eisenhower Health Contracting Branch intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract for the procurement of Reagents for the Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA by Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, 511 Benedict Avenue, Tarrytown, New York 105915.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,000. This proposed procurement is intended to be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.501 (a)(1)(ii) sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The analyzer associated with the reagents was installed at Winn via a previous Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics contract. This short-term contract will allow Winn to transition and prepare to receive the equipment from the new vendor of the long-term contract.A solicitation will be posted in accordance with FAR 13.5 (a)(iv) sole source (brand name). This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No telephone requests will be honored.
