Description:
The Pierce County is seeking appraisal and review appraisal services to support its real property projects. This solicitation aims to award one or more separate contracts for each type of work: appraisal services and appraisal review services.Pierce County is responsible for acquiring, disposing of, and managing real estate for public use. The properties involved may include, but are not limited to, fee simple purchases, partial property interests such as temporary or permanent easements, conservation easements, development rights, water rights, mineral rights, and timber rights purchases, as well as leases and residential or commercial rentals. Additionally, services will be provided to establish just compensation according to Washington State eminent domain procedures. The properties to be appraised are located within Pierce County and may consist of both private and government holdings in urban and rural areas. Some properties may have timber resources, and a few provide direct access to waterfront areas. These properties may also be subject to limitations such as wetlands, slopes, or critical areas. While these areas are not always clearly delineated, they can often be identified using County GIS.
