DEMIL AS CONDITION OF SCRAP SALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Red River Army Depot (RRAD) expects to generate, over the course of a year, 1,800,000 lbs of Prepared Steel (Demil code E) and 150,000 lbs of 2014 Aluminum (Demil code E). The weight of the scrap is an estimate and may vary due to mission production and equipment availability. This product may contain rubber. Agreement to purchase these items shall be documented on SF 114A-C (see attached) The above scrap commodities will be sold to Buyer based on the Buyer-s index percentage price for the corresponding commodities in the AMM/ Chicago market index. The Government requires the Buyer to provide a courtesy copy of the index each month. Please send the copy to Cody Gardner (cody.d.gardner.civ@army.mil).
The Buyer shall offload/remove commodities from Depot hoppers within twenty business hours (Monday-Thursday) from delivery. This is an all or none sale per commodity. The Buyer shall adhere to the following requirements. Segregate RRAD DEMIL code E items away from other commodities. Perform demil of commodities based off specific instructions given by the Tulsa website: https://tulsa.tacom.army.mil/FW1/index.cfm?action=demil:main.searchNIIN .
Complete and/or turn in all of the following documents to the RRAD AWCF Recycling Program Manager; 1) DD Form 1348-1A, 2) Demilitarization Certificate, 3) DLA Form 1822. Demil of RRAD commodities shall be performed during RRAD business hours. Buyer shall not sell RRAD commodities until a qualified RRAD (government) employee has signed and obtained the Demilitarization Certificate.
For payment of commodities an invoice will be processed. For material loaded into hoppers/rolloff the tare and loaded weight will be sent to the Buyer, via Pay.Gov. Payment in full is required prior to release of commodities from RRAD. Once payment is received, the Buyer and RRAD will be notified.
