- Proposals are being accepted by West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin), a Municipal Water District, for Project Title.The Urban Water Management Planning (UWMP) Act requires urban water suppliers to include an assessment of the reliability of water sources, description of demand management measures, a water shortage contingency plan and a discussion on the use of recycled water every five (5) years. West Basin seeks to partner with the City of El Segundo, City of Inglewood, City of Lomita, and City of Manhattan Beach, collectively “Participating Agencies”, in order to satisfy all 2025 UWMP requirements, such as California Water Code (\"CWC\") §10610-10656 and §10608. The project will result in individual UWMPs for each participating agency.West Basin will serve as the Lead Agency for implementing and managing the Project and holding and administering the consultant contract on behalf of the Participating Agencies. West Basin will award a master contract to the selected consultant and will manage the contract by authorizing task orders specific to the development of each Participating Agency-s UWMP.The services should include a strategy to maximize collaboration amongst Participating Agencies throughout the Urban Water Management Planning Process. This should include recognizing requirements specific to wholesale and retail suppliers, identification of common resources, and an efficient approach to collecting information and producing required materialsAll Prospective Participating Agencies are public retail urban water suppliers located within the West Basin Service Area.West Basin is a public agency that provides imported water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) as one of 26 cities and member agencies. West Basin wholesales imported water to four cities, three investor-owned utilities, and a county waterworks district in southwest Los Angeles County.
