Tender are invited for Notice of Utility Tariff FilingThe REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA571-8, its Mutual Aid/Emergency Service Memorandum of Agreement (Agreement) with Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA). Under the Agreement, in the event of an interruption of gas supply, Chugach or HEA may request from each other electric energy or natural gas on an emergency basis to meet their respective native load requirements. The providing utility will be reimbursed for the incremental costs incurred in providing service under the Agreement. Any natural gas used to provide service under the Agreement will be reimbursed through either in-kind delivery of the exact quantity of gas used, or through delivery of an amount of electric energy equivalent to the amount of natural gas used, calculated based on the providing utility-s incremental heat rate at the time of service.
