Tender are invited for Notice of Utility Tariff FilingThe REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA579-8, seeking approval of tariff provisions detailing its Cents for Community program, a voluntary bill round-up program approved by the Chugach membership in May 2023. Under the Cents for Community program, member bills are rounded up to the nearest dollar, and the proceeds are donated to eligible 501(c)(3) charities serving the Chugach service area. The charities are selected by the Chugach Electric Association Charitable Foundation, a seven-member board of volunteer trustees that will meet quarterly to assess grant applications and distribute funding. Consistent with the amended bylaws passed in 2023, Chugach members are automatically enrolled in the Cents for Community program but may opt out at any time by calling (907) 762-4129 or contacting Chugach directly.
