Description:
This project at 275 5th Street, San Francisco involves the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new, addressable, code-compliant manual fire alarm system for the four-story commercial office building. The work includes full design, permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning in accordance with 2025 California Fire Code, NFPA 72, and SFFD requirements. The new system will feature a Silent Knight or equal fire alarm control unit, new addressable devices, annunciators, and notification appliances, along with new wiring, conduit, and power supplies. The contractor—a licensed C-10 and UL-certified firm—will handle all submittals, permits, inspections, and coordination with the Owner (Renaissance Entrepreneurial Center) and SFFD. The system will undergo pre-testing, owner acceptance, and final SFFD approval. There is no LBE subcontracting goal, but 10% bid discount applies to qualified LBE bidders.
