Title: Repair of Filmetrics F40 UV White Light Spectrophotometer system
BACKGROUND
The National Institute of Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado has a state-of-the-art research laboratory (the Katharine Blodgett Gebbie Building) to support the most sensitive research done at NIST. Included in this building is a Class 100 microelectronics fabrication facility, called the Boulder Micro-fabrication Facility (BMF). The BMF has a Filmetrics F40 UV White Light Spectrophotometer system that it uses to characterize films required for fabrications processes. The spectrophotometer system is currently not operational and requires repairs. The BMF requires a repair to its existing spectrophotometer system.
NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a commercial item solution that meets or exceeds the following draft minimum specifications, inclusive of FOB Destination/shipping and warranty:

Description: Repair of the Government-s Filmetrics F40 UV White Light Spectrophotometer system
Technical Specifications The contractor shall supply all parts, hardware, equipment, and labor required to perform the tasks listed. The contractor shall be responsible for shipping all parts to the Government. The contractor shall repair the Government-s existing Filmetrics F40 UV White Light Spectrophotometer system to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), KLA, specifications or better. The contractor shall use all OEM parts and use OEM factory trained personnel to complete this repair. Once the repairs are completed, the Government-s Filmetrics F40 UV White Light Spectrophotometer system shall operate according to OEM specifications or better. The contractor shall supply a one-year warranty on all non-consumable parts and labor.
