STATEMENT OF WORKRepair Fire DoorsProject: 565-25-101Construction ServicesVAMC Fayetteville, NCSCOPE OF WORK: This project will repair fire and smoke doors located in Building nos. 1 and 3 at the VA Medical Center located at 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. The work will require door specialists, electricians, wall finishers, and laborers. It is highly recommended that all offerors attend the scheduled site visit walk through to note wall types, existing conditions, required hardware, take rough measurements, etc., necessary for proper offers.Construction will be done in accordance with VA specifications, Design guides, Infection Control guidelines and all applicable codes. VA Standards shall be retrieved from the Office of Construction and Facilities Management website (https://www.cfm.va.gov/til/index.asp). Construction will also be structured to require minimum interruption of space function during construction.The door numbers and work to be completed are as follows:Building no. 1Basement FloorRoom B39 (Soiled Linen) Two-hour fire rating. Provide frame label/re-certify.Room B85 (Linen Chute) Two-hour fire rating. Provide frame label/re-certify.Second FloorRoom 2055 (Anesthesia) One-hour fire rating. Provide door label/re-certify. Note that it is a new door and frame so the door label was likely covered by the continuous hinge.Third FloorRoom 379 (Stairwell) - Two-hour fire rating. Provide frame label/re-certify. Add door sweep.Fourth FloorRoom 419 (Soiled Utility) - One-hour fire rating. Provide frame and door labels/re-certify. Note that it is a new door and frame so the labels were likely covered by the continuous hinge.Building no. 3Basement FloorRoom B05 (Exterior) Two-hour fire rating. Demolition (see note below). Replace metal doors and frame for correct egress (outward). Install new closers, panic bars, lockset, vision lites (large in each door and above doors). Reconnect to maglock and card readers.
