Description
This pre-solicitation notice is posted IAW FAR 5.204 "Pre-solicitation Notices." The Government intends to electronically release a solicitation to the public via SAM.gov on or after 15 days from the date this notice for the requirement below. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
This is a pre-solicitation notice for a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) design build repair of floor drain spalling contract. The Contractor is to provide all design, labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform for project LXEZ231080 REPAIR FLOOR DRAIN SPALLING, BLG3548 Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan. The solicitation will be solicited as competitive and unrestricted. Floor drain spalling repair performance will include repair damages to the concrete floor drain channel, Demolish and replace concretes to badly damaged areas, repair weakened channel segments due to spalling but hold structural integrity. Replace lateral concrete drainpipes, as needed, abatement work and removal of lead based paint IAW Japan and US rules and regulations, Repaint the 6-inch-thick yellow caution strip on the floor surrounding the grates. Sustainable principles, to include life cycle costeffective practices, will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with UFC 1-200-02. NOTE: This contract will be performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. The successful offeror must be licensed and registered to perform work in the country of Japan. The tentative Performance Period for the project is 439 Calendar days.
