Invitation for Bids (IFB) Set-Aside for Small Businesses
NAICS Code: 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors
The Tennessee Air National Guard intends to issue an Invitation for Bids to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for the contractor to replace facility boilers and compressors in four (4) buildings as specified in the Statement of Work. Repair facilities B2890, B4625, 2886, and B2860 conditioned space by replacing the existing units; Replace 75 pounds worth of failing R-22 Compressors with high efficiency non-ozone depleting HVAC units in those same facilities. Each compressor and associated equipment shall include a new fan coil unit, associated copper piping, thermo-expansion values, solenoids, a new 2-inch insulated copper drain line including new insulation for all installed copper lines. Install required and proper amount of refrigerant, to properly charge and operate the system. In each building replace two boilers which include replacement of two circulating pumps, two motor starters for the pumps, two flow switches, four isolation valves, replace insulation to match existing insulation, two solenoid valves, six temperatures gauges and fivepressure gauges. After installing the boiler, ensure that the system maintains a 35% glycol mix. The project is located at the 164th Airlift Wing - Tennessee Air National Guard Base, Memphis, TN 38118.
The contract duration will be 365 calendar days after notice to proceed to include inspection and punch list. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220, with a small business size standard of $19,000,000. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
