1.1 SCOPE OF WORK: (Three Step)For the end item the contractor shall furnish all facilities,parts, materials, equipment and services, required to inspect and, if necessary, restore toserviceable condition. Services to be performed will not be essential in a crisis situation. Workconsists of one of four efforts: Test, teardown, and evaluation (TT&E) only; TT&E and MinorRepair; TT&E and Moderate Repair; TT&E and Major Rebuild.1.1.1 TEST, TEARDOWN, AND EVALUATION: The contractor shall perform visual,mechanical and electrical testing of the end item, reusable or replacement componentparts, and materials according to the schedule in the contract to determine the conditionof the end item. Upon completion of this task, all of the components of the end itemrequiring repair or replacement will be identified by part number, NSN (if applicable),nomenclature, and location in the assembly. This information will be reported in writingto the Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO)/ Defense Contract Management Agency(DCMA) Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) and, if necessary, a category ofrepair will be negotiated. The price of repair for the end item will be firm-fixed basedon this negotiated repair level If no further repair is required, the asset must be returnedin serviceable like new condition.1.1.2 MINOR REPAIR: (FFP) Minor repair is a repair that does not require totaldisassembly of the end item or replacement of major subcomponents. A minor repaircandidate typically requires external adjustments or rework in order to meet all of theelectrical specifications in accordance with the Technical Order Test Procedure andmechanical dimensions in accordance with the outline drawing. It would include repairor replacement of damaged or missing minor external parts as required. Test each enditem IAW the specifications for P/N-s as listed in the contract schedule.
