This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for the construction of the Repair Tainter Valves at Various Locations, at Newt Graham, W.D. Mayo, and Chouteau Lock & Dams, Oklahoma. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this pre-solicitation notice or any follow up postings.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Tulsa has been tasked to solicit for and award a contract for the Repair Tainter Valves at Various Locations project at Newt Graham, W.D. Mayo, and Chouteau Lock and Dams, Oklahoma. The proposed design-bid-build project will be procured as a competitive small business set-aside, firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 15, Negotiated Procurement, using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable approach.

Project Description:

The scope of this project is to perform maintenance and repair work on the two 12' x 12- filling valves and two 12' x 12- emptying valves (per location) located at Newt Graham L&D, W.D. Mayo L&D, and Chouteau L&D. The valves will be pulled out for repair, undergo blasting and painting, and then reinstalled. The repair work will include the replacement of seals, backing/bearing bars, hardware, strut and trunnion assembly pins, bushings, keeper bars, and other necessary components. Additionally, certain valves may require casting build-up and line boring to address specific issues, such as worn castings where the valve connects to the strut.
