Description
The US Coast Guard Office of Procurement & Contracting Miami Detachment (DOL 93-1), on behalf of U.S. Coast Guard Station Sand Key, Clearwater, FL intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price service purchase to Ring Power for the repairs to a Hyundai Forklift which sustained excessive water damages during Hurricane Milton and is currently inoperable.

The contractor shall furnish all necessary parts and labor to the Hyundai forklift and ensure equipment is operational and ready for use at CG Station Sand Key.
Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of enabling repairs to needed equipment for Coast Guard unit.
The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Coast Guard Station Sank Key attempted several local repair facilities within the Clearwater area, and only Ring Power had the ability/manpower to retrieve forklift and provide detail parts and service needed to get this equipment operational. Coast Guard unit currently renting a forklift needed for daily operations at unit costing the Government funds not allocated for unplanned discrepancy.
