Title: RFQ # 1232SA25Q0293 - REPAIRS TO NOVEC 1230 FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, USNA ADMINISTRATION BUILDING HERBARIUM AT WASHINGTON, D.C.

THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), U.S. National Arboretum (USNA) has a requirement to repair the NOVEC 1230 Fire Suppression System located in the Administration Building Herbarium including but not limited to Recharge of SEVO 910lb Clean Agent discharged tanks, Replacement of Steel Flex Hoses, and Verify panel is clear and system is online.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000.

USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) 1232SA25Q0293, may be issued on or around July 11, 2025.

The upcoming solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2025-04 dated 06/11/2025. The requirement will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside, under NAICS Code 238220 with a size standard of $19M.

Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFQ will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the “Contracting Opportunities” section.

Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFQ package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
