Tender are invited for REQUEST FOR GRANT PROPOSALS Edward Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP) CFDA 16.738 The Division of Alaska State Troopers seeks proposals from eligible applicants for the Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) 2022-2023 and FFY 2024 funding under the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP). The Alaska Department of Public Safety, as the state-s administering agency of the Byrne SCIP grant program, convened Alaska's Crisis Intervention Advisory Board. The board elected to address gun violence prevention through a combination of crisis intervention, education, and community engagement. Recognizing the correlation between mental health, substance misuse, and incidents of violent crime, the board identified three program priorities: Enhance access to mental health services. Support culturally relevant violence, substance misuse, and suicide-prevention programs. Leverage existing technology or implement new technology to overcome geographical barriers to services.
