This Request for Information (RFI) is for market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote, or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Both large and small businesses concerns are encouraged to participate in this request.
The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of solutions for a modular clean room installation in an existing building.
BACKGROUND:
The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in Hanover, NH has a requirement for a clean room to perform microbiology research. It is anticipated that a modular clean room is the best solution from a cost and infrastructure standpoints. The selected location for the modular clean room is inside of an existing building with an adequate floor load rating. If this project were to move forward, the Government would intend to prepare the site for installation of the modular building itself and procure design and install phases via contract.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Government is seeking market research information to better understand the needs of this modular clean room project. The information sought includes, but is not limited to, pricing estimates, project scheduling, industry capabilities, modular clean room specifications, and infrastructure requirements for an installation. It is also a chance for the Government to identify sources as part of the market research process.
