These specific NSNs are all associated with the AN/ALQ-161A Electronic Countermeasures Electronic Warfare System and have been manufactured by more than one vendor over the last approx. 40 years.Items 1, 2 and 3 listed above are digitally tuned, Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs). These VCOs are a critical part in the ALQ-161A used to rapidly switch signals to avoid jamming countermeasures or generate jamming signals that interfere with enemy communications. These VCOs provide a wide tuning range and digital control for rapid frequency changes. These VCOs are capable of generating a precise electronic signal at a specific frequency which is set via a 12-bit Transistor to Transistor (TTL) digital word entered in parallel.Items 4, 5 and 6 listed above are YIG Reject Filters with their associated drivers. The YIG Reject Filters are a critical part in the ALQ-161A used to rapidly reject signals to avoid jamming countermeasures or generate jamming signals that interfere with enemy communications.
