Tender are invited for Request for Public CommentDoughchee Avenue RehabilitationProject Number NFHWY00815 The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting comments on the proposed rehabilitation of Doughchee Avenue in North Pole, Alaska. DOT&PF is proposing to correct the drainage issues along Doughchee Avenue and bridge work to the Beaver Springs Creek Bridge (Bridge No. 2132). Drainage improvements to Doughchee Avenue will include ditching, installation of drainage swales, fabric, and riprap. Work on the bridge will include the installation of new end terminals, approach beam guardrails, transitional railing at the corner of the bridge, and erosion gullies near bridge corners to prevent further erosion. Doughchee Avenue will be resurfaced with new asphalt and signage will be installed or replaced as needed. We are currently working on conceptual designs, engineering, and environmental studies.
