Tender are invited for Request for Public CommentNome-Council Road MP 14.2-14.7 Permanent RepairsProject: NFHWY00798The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting comments on the permanent repairs for damage caused by the 2022 Typhoon Merbok on the Nome-Council Highway MP 14.2-14.7. The proposed project will resurface the roadway and grade or reshape roadside ditches. Materials for the project will be sourced from commercially available sources and will be contractor furnished.The project construction is scheduled for Spring of 2026.This project is being developed in accordance with the following Executive Orders (EO): EO12898 Environmental Justice,EO 11990 Wetland Involvement,EO 11593 Protection and Enhancement of Cultural Resources,EO11988 Floodplain Management,EO13112 Invasive Species, as amended by EO 13751.We are currently working through design, engineering and environmental reviews and want to ensure that all possible factors are considered.
