Tender are invited for The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting comments to replace the Snake River Bridge #324 located at MP 7 on the Nome-Teller Highway. This will provide a safe and efficient means of travel for users of the Nome-Teller Highway. The bridge is deteriorating and in major need of replacement. There is only one road that leads to Teller, and the bridge is needed to travel west on the Teller Highway out of town.This project is being developed in accordance with the following Executive Orders (EO): EO12898 Environmental Justice,EO 11990 Wetland Involvement,EO 11593 Protection and Enhancement of Cultural Resources,EO11988 Floodplain Management,and EO13112 Invasive Species, as amended by EO 13751We are currently working on preliminary design, engineering and environmental reviews and want to ensure that all possible factors are considered.
