Tender are invited for The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Sheep Creek Extension to improve safety. This project is funded with the Highway Safety Improvement Program funds.Project Description (see attached Project Figure):The Parks Highway / Sheep Creek intersection project will construct a Continuous Green-T Signalized (CGT) intersection. The CGT will consist of new signal poles, a new active advanced warning flasher (AAWF) sign, and relocated light poles. The foundations of the new signal and AAWF poles will be approximately 12 feet deep. Additional to the existing medians on the Parks Highway, two new medians to separate flows of traffic will be included. The southern median will separate Fairbanks bound traffic on the Parks from vehicles turning left from Sheep Creek.
