Description:
The City of Rancho Cordova invites qualified firms (“Consultants”) to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) to identify and pre-qualify consulting firms capable of providing expert plan review services to assist the Building Department in evaluating construction documents for code compliance. Service includes structural and nonstructural plan review using the current edition of the California Building Standards Codes (CBSC) and City-specific regulations and policies. The firm selected will work under the direction of the Chief Building Official and will serve as an extension of the Building Department staff.The City is seeking a white-glove, high-touch partner to collaborate seamlessly with City staff, inspection personnel, and the development team. The selected Consultant will exemplify flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness throughout the project life cycle. This engagement is critical to ensuring that all construction documents meet or exceed applicable building codes, life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and local ordinances while maintaining the project schedule and facilitating quality construction through thorough and efficient plan review.
