Description:
The She Wins Climate research project, led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), aims to generate actionable insights into women-led/owned climate startups in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). This initiative supports IFC-s Inclusive Climate Program and addresses a critical data gap by mapping the presence, performance, and challenges of early-stage climate ventures led by women in regions where IFC is implementing the She Wins Climate acceleration programs.Through a mixed-methods approach, the research will explore business models, financing needs, and ecosystem barriers, while highlighting successful strategies and impact pathways. The findings will inform IFC-s investment strategies and guide ecosystem actors such as venture capital funds, accelerators, and entrepreneurship support organizations in better supporting gender-inclusive climate innovation.
