Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Mexico City will launch the solicitation on SAM.gov website when it is available.
The United States Government (USG) is seeking contractor services to refurbish and restore the kitchen in a U.S. Embassy-owned residence in Mexico City. The scope includes improving the original condition of finishes, drywalls, floor and wall tiles, sinks, countertops, lighting, outlets, and exhaust systems. This project is being solicited on behalf of the Embassy, in collaboration with the Department of State's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). This effort will have an estimated value between $25,000 and $100,000 U.S. dollars, per FAR 36.204 (b).
The selected contractor will be fully responsible for performing all the necessary work including, but not limited to temporary partitions to isolate the renovation areas; removal of the existing kitchen cabinetry; replacement of drywall sheets, electrical, plumbing, masonry and finishing work; special disconnections of fixtures, appliances, and accessories are required to facilitate improvement. The refurbishment shall use only high-quality, first-class materials (all properly evaluated and approved by the project's Contracting Officer Representative (COR)).
All construction contractors that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work. At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:
Be able to understand written and spoken English; Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing; Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work; Have all licenses and permits required by local law; Meet all local insurance requirements; Have the ability to obtain a performance and guarantee bond and a payment bond, or to post a...
