City and County of San Francisco Human Services Agency (HSA) Funding Opportunity Request for Proposals (RFP) #1167 Elder & Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention (EDAAP) Program The City and County of San Francisco Human Services Agency (HSA) announces its intent to seek proposals from non-profit agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in providing elder abuse prevention services. There are two primary activities for this announcement: a. To coordinate and facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings. Members defined in the California Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act (EADACPA) and facilitate meetings to present on challenging cases that require collaboration between multiple programs or agencies to address the protection issues of the client. b. To provide training to mandated reporters on abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation. The California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 15655.5, requires that Adult Protective Service (APS) programs provide education on abuse, neglect, self-neglect and exploitation to mandated reporters. Examples include public or private agencies, or persons providing care or services for elders or dependent adults, fire departments, offices of environmental health and building code enforcement, and other mandated reporters of suspected abuse of an elder or dependent adult, including financial institutions.
