- City and County of San Francisco Human Services Agency (HSA) Funding Opportunity Request for Proposals (RFP) #1179 Elder Abuse Community Education and Outreach (EACEO) Program The San Francisco Human Services Agency (SFHSA) announces its intent to seek proposals from nonprofit organizations interested in providing elder abuse prevention, community education, and outreach services. SFHSA seeks to increase the awareness of community gatekeepers, older adults, adults with disabilities, and the general public about elder/dependent adult abuse, including its identification, prevention, and reporting. These services are to be provided, tracked and monitored in a cohort for residents of San Francisco. The goal of the grant is to facilitate education and outreach to the general population as well as professionals in spaces that may become aware of potential abuse, neglect, self-neglect or exploitation through their line of work. This grant has two (2) focus areas: • Elder Abuse Community Education and Outreach and Veterans Financial Abuse Education & Prevention: this program conducts education and outreach to all ethnicities with additional outreach and financial abuse awareness activities carved out for Veterans, as there are unique benefits and services offered to this demographic, and as a result - are also distinct scams. • Elder Abuse Community Education and Outreach, including, but not limited to, Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) Individuals: this program conducts community education and outreach, including, but not limited to, outreach to members of the AAPI communities.
