- Description : The California Air Resources Board (CARB) seeks to procure (1) Vocus S CI-TOF mass spectrometer and accessories. The equipment requested is a Vocus S Chemical Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (CI-TOF) with PTR and Aim reactors to measure air toxics, especially trace-level measurements of volatile organic and inorganic compounds (VOCs and VICs) at stationary monitoring sites within California. The precision and accuracy of the instrument will be tested against laboratory measurements of species including Ethylene Oxide (EtO) to assess the capability of real-time toxics instruments for future implementation of continuous monitoring of air toxics in the California network.
