Description:
The Town of Davie is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to support the establishment of a Community Land Trust (CLT) that will serve as a long-term steward of affordable housing. In order to procure the services of an organization that will acquire and hold land and property for the purpose of ensuring lasting affordability within the community. By placing available properties under the CLT-s ownership, the Town seeks to preserve affordability for current and future residents while advancing its housing goals.The selected vendor will be expected to demonstrate expertise in land acquisition, affordable housing management, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Services may include, but are not limited to: securing property for the CLT portfolio, managing affordability requirements, developing policies and procedures consistent with long-term stewardship, and engaging with the community to promote program awareness.Through this procurement, the Town intends to identify a qualified partner capable of purchasing and maintaining properties in trust for affordable housing purposes. The successful proposer will collaborate with the Town to ensure that housing opportunities remain permanently affordable and accessible to income-eligible households.The estimated budget is $750,000.
