Description:
The Ridge Manor Water Reclamation Facility & Emergency Operations Structure project consists of building a brand-new water reclamation facility adjacent to an existing in use wastewater treatment plant. The existing wastewater treatment plant shall always remain active until final completion and acceptance of the new water reclamation facility. The existing plant is 0.75 MGD and the new facility is 2.0 MGD with a bid alternate of an additional 1.0 MGD and would bring the total facility if awarded with the alternate to a 3.0 MGD. The new water reclamation facility will be constructed within the existing rapid infiltration basin number 2 which will need to be taken offline from the existing wastewater treatment plant. The existing rapid infiltration basin number 1 shall remain active. There will be new rapid infiltrations basins constructed as part of the project and should allow the clean fill to be used from the site to assist in the construction of the new project.The Emergency Operations Structure project consists of building an approximately 2,500 square foot site built concrete split face block structure. The structure will have general office space, large conference room, breakroom, restrooms, general mechanical/SCADA rooms. The structures- primary purpose will be the office of the new water reclamation facility for overview of all facility controls. The building will also serve in times of declared state of emergencies for Department staff. The structure will be served with back up power from the generator installed with the new water reclamation facility.
