- Description:
- The City of Hollywood, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors hereinafter referred to as the Contractor or Bidder. The Contractor shall perform resurfacing of City of Hollywood streets and alleys, including milling to an average depth of 1\", asphalt leveling, and placement of a new asphalt surface.As directed by the Project Manager, the Contractor shall also scarify the upper limerock base as needed to meet existing elevations prior to paving.Work includes restoration of thermoplastic striping, retro-reflective pavement markers, and incidental traffic sign improvements in compliance with Broward County Traffic Engineering Division (BCTED) standards. Construction plans may not be provided, except for City standard details, current BCTED standards, and the latest FDOT Standard Plans.The Work involved with the Project shall include, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, mobilization and services necessary to perform the services.All locations are subject to change, and the Contractor shall not proceed at any location without first receiving a Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order (PO) from the Project Manager. Locations may be modified, added, or subtracted, throughout the contract period. The Contractor agrees to cooperate and work with the City of Hollywood Development Services Department, Engineering Division in scheduling work requested. The quantities for payment under the Contract shall be determined by actual measurement of the completed items, in place, ready for service and accepted by the CITY. A representative of the CONTRACTOR shall witness all field measurements.The quantities shown are not guaranteed and are only used for bidding purposes to determine the low bid contractor. Unit prices will be used to pay for measured work completed for the life of the Contract as assigned through project specific Purchase Orders.
