January 23rd, 2025 Project Number: TBD Roofing repairs to various roofs (10 total) at Salem VA Hospital Statement of Work January 23rd, 2025 Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center Statement of Work: This solicitation is for important and urgently needed roofing repairs on several building locations at the Salem VA Medical Center to involve ballasted EPDM roof repairs and EPDM roof repairs. The qualified Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, freight, lift equipment rental, disposal fees and qualified supervision necessary to make repairs on ten buildings (see Items 1-10 below). All repairs must match exiting as closely as possible. The intent is that once repairs are complete, the average viewer will not be able to perceive that any repairs have taken place. This is to preserve the historicity of our buildings. The Roofing Contractor will be responsible for disposing of all trash and debris off station. Attached below are details of the work areas (10 Buildings total) in question. It is understood that written descriptions provided are to assist the bidder in understanding the scope of work but may not be completely comprehensive. If requested, a site visit will be facilitated with FMS staff here at the Salem VA Medical Center. The work labeled as priority work shall be completed within 21 days (repairs are urgently needed) from starting the project, not withstanding any unforeseen complications or inclement weather that prevents the contractor from working safely. Work may be completed during normal work hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on weekends and holidays. Contractor may be working in an area near a clinic that tests veteran patients for COVID-19. Contractor shall adhere to the Medical Centers policy on wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice social distancing.
