Tender are invited for Recreational Trails Program Grant Application - Public NoticeProject Title: RTP Grant Application - Buskin River Safety and Education Project Organization Name: DPOR - Interpretation & Education unit Date Public Notice Posted: August 22, 2025 Posted Online: September 05, 2025 Brief Description of Proposed Project:At Buskin River SRA, the Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR) Interpretation and Education Unit will update the site signage, bulletin board information, and install additional interpretive panels along the campground trail to the beach, and at the ADA fishing platform. Currently, the 6 existing signs are nearing 20 years old and were reprints of older panels of generic subjects, nothing specifically designed for this unique site. This site has safety messaging that is required for its users, especially for bear awareness as bears frequent the river. For some of the panels, we will also partner with the Alutiiq Museum to include indigenous placenames, cultural information, and or Alutiiq language.Proposed Timeline of the Project: Project State Date April 1, 2026 ...
