Description:
PROJECT NAME: RUNWAY 17/35 RECONSTRUCTION PHASE VIThis Project entails the sixth phase of the reconstruction of the asphalt portions of Runway 17/35, consisting of the removal and replacement of approximately 129,450 square feet of structural runway pavement section to currentFederal Aviation Administration (\"FAA\") Design Standards. Ancillary to the runway reconstruction work, partial replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing asphalt runway shoulders shall be performed. Furthermore, the reconstruction of the Runway 35 blast pad pavement (93,300 square feet) shall be performed provided that adequate grant funds are provided by the FAA. In addition, the removal and replacement of approximately 242,350 square feet of additional structural runway pavement section to current FAA Design Standards shall be performed provided that adequate grant funds are provided by the FAA. Ancillary to the additional runway reconstruction work, approximately 3000 linear feet of partial replacement of existing asphalt runway shoulders shall be performed provided that adequate grant funds are provided by the FAA. Time being of the essence, the work under this contract shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before expiration of 120 CALENDAR DAYS beginning on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
