- Hingham Harbor Master seeks proposals to fix aluminum hull corrosion on its 31 foot Safe boat. The corrosion is below the waterline forward of the pilot house in the bilge of the forward compartment below a diesel engine. The corrosion was cause by trapped water and sediment. A surveyor for the Town of Hingham evaluated the type and extent of the corrosion identifying two sections of hull approximately 6 feet x 6 inches of 5/16 bottom plate that require cropping/replacement.Anticipated project start date, September 1, 2025Anticipated sea trials, October 31, 2025Mechanic is responsible for pick up and drop off of the vessel.
