The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District is seeking contractors with the capability to provide construction services for Phase II of the incremental raising of the south perimeter dike at the Saginaw confined disposal facility (CDF).
Tasks are expected to include:
Mobilize to the site through the northeast platform of the CDF Clear and grub the brush and vegetation from the dike construction limits and all material borrow areas. Material from the CDF will be used to raise the dike, excluding the NE cell Grade and compact the raised south dike with slopes including subgrade preparation and compaction prior of fill placement, raising area around the weir Plant grass on the exterior slope of the raised dike for erosion control Demobilize when completeThe North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a small business size standard of $45 million in average annual receipts.
The Government intends to solicit this opportunity as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The IFB is intended to be issued as a 100% set-aside for small businesses and the government intends to award to the lowest priced bid that is determined to be responsible.
