Description:
The City of Santa Monica is seeking a contractor to provide labor, materials, and hardware for the replacement of deck boards, wooden stringers, pile and post replacement and repairs, and related as-needed repairs on the historic Santa Monica Pier (Pier). To maintain the structural integrity and safety of the Pier, the Citys Public Landscape Division - Pier Maintenance Crew contracts for deck board and stringer replacement services to supplement the work performed by in-house staff. This project includes the removal of old, deteriorated stringers and deck boards, and the installation of new stringers sized 3\" x 14\" x 22, 4\" x 14\" x 22, and other needed wood sizes, deck boards, secured with SDWH Timber-Hex Screws, and nail patrol services. The agreement also covers as-needed structural repairs identified during the replacement process.The City is interested in a five (5) year agreement. The selected contractor must ensure that all work complies with City specifications and is performed during the designated hours of Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, excluding holidays.
