- Description : The Department is seeking quotes for backpack-style avian transmitters for use on Hawaiian Goose (nēnē) to support monitoring and tracking in remote areas. Transmitters must provide high-precision GPS location data via satellite technology and include an accelerometer and a mortality indicator. An optional radio telemetry add-on for fine-scale location and bird recovery is preferred. Solar-powered transmitters are strongly preferred. The total transmitter weight, including all components and attachments, must not exceed 40 grams.The Department is seeking quotes for individual items, with an estimated 12 transmitters and tags to be purchased. Price must include all associated fees - delivery, tax, shipping, etc. We cannot accept international orders due to potential customs issues.
