1. Amendment 0001 to solicitation 1333MK25Q0096 is to answer questions from interested vendors and to extend the solicitation offer due date. 1Q. There appears to be no specific reference to refrigeration equipment specifications including evaporator, condensing unit, or electrical load details. Could you please confirm whether refrigeration components are to be included in the quote or if the replacement is limited to the panelized freezer structure only? 1A. No refrigeration equipment is not a part of the SON. The SON is for the existing panel freezer structure/system. The existing refrigeration equipment will be reused when installed during the shipyard. 2Q. Will site coordination for delivery and access be managed by the awarded shipyard, or should CRNA anticipate direct contact with a federal delivery agent post-Sept 1? 2A. The plan is to have the shipyard contract awarded prior to having the new scientific walk-in freezer available for delivery so the delivery of the new unit can go directly to the shipyard sometime in SEPT or OCT depending on fabrication timing. 3Q. Are there any preferences or requirements regarding freight insurance, crating methods, or delivery certifications for materials sent to Naval Station Newport? 3A. Preference for shipment is undamaged to final destination and easily moveable using standard material handling equipment so however this needs to be packaged to make that happen. 4Q. Would you kindly confirm whether the bid evaluation will consider value-added services such as expedited lead times, installation assistance, or warranty support as part of the award criteria? 4A. The government will award a firm fixed price contract based on best value to the government: 1. Authorized dealer/ vendor/distributor 2.
