Description
This Sources Sought notice is being issued by the Department of the Navy (US Navy), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), on behalf of NSWCPD Division 54, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Network (Code 543). The Government is seeking interested sources for the SIEMENS RUGGEDCOM equipment.
The prospective contractor will provide Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) industrial-grade networking hardware and components manufactured by Siemens RUGGEDCOM. The networking equipment is currently used on operational hulls and is actively being installed as part of on-going modernization and new ship acquisition programs across multiple ship classes (LPD 17, LHD 1, DDG 51, LHD 1, CVN 68/78, LSD 41/49, CG 47, and MCM 1) as part of their Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) and Navigation network infrastructures.
Accordingly, NSWCPD is requesting information from any and all interested sources in order to make an informed determination regarding its procurement strategy. Capability statements submitted in response to this notice should include the following information.
Does the potential contractor currently sell the full catalog of Siemens RUGGEDCOM products to include all of the items listed in the RFI Attachment 1?
Is the potential contractor an authorized dealer of Siemens RUGGEDCOM products? If yes, state for long they have been authorized. If no, state if it intends to become authorized and when.
List contractor-s full name, give business POC, CAGE code, business size, and UEI.
SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: Respondents shall provide capability statements with specific information regarding their ability to provide the required materials (described in the RFI Attachment I) to meet Division 54 needs.
